Year 6 visit to Clare College, Cambridge

July 2022

Year 6 children had a lovely day at Clare College on Monday 4 July.

The day started with a presentation from a Clare College representative on what University life is like and the collegiate nature of Cambridge University.  The children shared their aspirations for going to university and what they were thinking they would like to study and they were given details about what a student life involves, from studying to living independently and the vast array of clubs the university offers.  They children were then given a tour of the college and library followed by lunch in the Scholar's garden.

In the afternoon they created triptyphs inspired by the garden, the river, bridge and punts and the chapel.
