Our Vision, Values and Ethos

All staff, pupils, governors and parents have contributed to the formation of the vision and the values that we have and hold for our school. This collection of words expresses the values that we encourage in order to create a happy and successful school. See also our British Values and Our Peace Garden.

School Ethos
Our Ethos Statement is as follows:
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in
accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at a parish and
diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of
Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and
promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

Golden Rules

We have chosen the following five rules as the Golden Rules for how we behave at all times. We follow these rules in the classroom, in the playground, when we are in assembly or when we are out and about.
