Year 6 Visit to Clare College, Cambridge

An inspiring day!
Year 6 had a great day at Clare College learning about university life and the history of the college. We were invited to wander around parts of the college, including the dining hall, the chapel and were lucky enough to visit the new cafe with a view over the Cam. After a picnic lunch on the Backs, we across the bridge (discussed the ideas behind why part of one of the decorative spheres was missing) and wandered into the fellowship gardens. There the children were given time to do some sketching. Before departing, we went to visit the college library and walked through the area where the halls are for first years. I am sure all year 6 children will agree that is was an inspiring day.
