World Book Day Competition 2018

Congratulations!

On World Book Day (1st March 2018), we were very proud to announce that our school received Bronze in the World Book Day Award competition.  The competition required us to create a display that showed how our school is flying high with reading

The judges said, "Thank you for your amazingly innovative and creative entries for this year’s World Book Day Award. The time, imagination, energy and creativity that is poured into each and every entry by teachers, librarians, students, families and your wider communities is breathtaking".  The judges included Sir Chris Hoy (Olympic champion and author), Joanna Nadin (award-winning author), Clare Elsom (illustrator), Kirsten Grant (Director, World Book Day) and Stephen Bush (New Statesman journalist)

We are delighted that all our hard work won the school £500 worth of books for our school library!
